Developed for the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Open House 2025, Overflow Car is a robotic vehicle running on Raspberry Pi 5 with video streaming capabilities that allows users to remotely navigate and explore areas over a cellular network. Control the Overflow Car using tilt gestures or an on-screen joystick, and view a real-time video feed from the car's perspective. Furthermore, Overflow Car has a time trial feature to challenge users to navigate through a course as quickly as possible. The leaderboard and time trial system synchronises over the cloud, connecting three apps - the phone app, the live video feed display and the admin dashboard - to provide a seamless experience.
